For the class entering in 2018, the number of students applying was 4,816. A total of 757 students were interviewed, 443 were accepted and 136 matriculated. Sixty percent of incoming students are from New York State; 26 percent of the matriculating class are from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. The incoming class for 2018 has a cumulative GPA of 3.8, with an overall MCAT average score at the 90th percentile. Graduates have a 98 percent pass rate on the national medical licensure examination, compared to a 97 percent national average pass rate.
During the past two years, 26 percent of the School’s graduates have been placed in Top 20 residency programs. Forty-nine percent of graduates were placed in residencies in New York State.
