Applying to the Program

Applications to the fellowship program are accepted ONLY through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Requirements include:

  1. Scheduled completion of a US-based ACGME accredited pediatric residency program
  2. Applicants must be either a US Citizen, permanent resident, or obtain a J-1 visa. Unfortunately we are unable to consider applicants with H-1b visas.
  3. Please include in your ERAS application three letters of recommendation including one from an attending physician in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.


Graduates of medical schools in the United States and other countries who have successfully completed a United States Pediatric Residency program are eligible to apply for positions in the Stony Brook University Medical Center Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. Invitations for interviews will be sent via email from Thalamus. Final selection will occur using the national resident matching program (NRMP).
