Ashley is a comparative neuroanatomist interested in the evolution of nervous systems. Her research interests include (but are not limited to) the following categories:
· Brain mapping: the development of high-resolution, multimodal neuroanatomical maps for inter- and intraspecific comparisons,
· Cerebellar anatomy and evolution: the comparative morphology of the mammalian cerebellum and the evolution of the primate cortico-cerebellar system, and the
· Biomedical applications of comparative and evolutionary neuroscience to our understanding of neuropathological and neurocognitive disorders.
