Lab Happenings

April 30, 2014 - URECA Symposium Poster Session

The Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities (URECA) Symposium is a chance for Stony Brook University’s undergrads to showcase research that they do in lab. The Symposium’s poster session comprises of an array of students, each one involved in research across a vast diversity of disciplines here at Stony Brook. Often, these poster sessions represent a culmination of each student’s hard work and dedication over the course of several academic years.

Jevon and Igor, mentored by George and Zack respectively, each made great posters and certainly did us proud by savvily  explaining their research to the curious people who stopped by.

July 25, 2012 - The Spontaneous Pursuit of Frozen Yogurt

The warm summer weather and sunshine yesterday beckoned us out of lab for a quick visit to the new, cheerful frozen yogurt store across the street from the Stony Brook train station. The general consensus? Awesome.

June 29, 2012 - Lab Opening Happy Hour

The Seeliger lab inaugurated the opening of our newly renovated space by hosting a happy hour for the Pharmacology department together with the Garcia-Diaz lab. We ensured that our guests were well-fed and well-watered, making for a happy time that definitely lasted past the hour.

Cheers to great science and exciting discoveries in our awesome new lab!
