During this elective time you will learn to perform circumcisions using a dorsal penile nerve block and the mogen.
Prior to starting, please contact the hospitalist listed on call for Avalon Gardens for that week. You will meet her in the newborn nursery on Friday mornings for circumcision training. The time may vary, depending upon the number of circumcisions to be done and other scheduling considerations.

You may keep a procedure log for yourself. Please e mail Dr. Boykan when you are done with the rotation; we will credential you when we feel you are competent to perform this procedure on your own. Some people require more practice than others.
