Pediatric Nephrology Rotation
Throughout the next 2-4 weeks the resident will be involved with seeing patients in the outpatient setting, performing consults on the inpatient units (11N, 11S, PICU, NICU) and attending any extra nephrology conferences that may arise during your rotation. You will be given a set of nephrology questions to be completed at the start of the rotation which will be discussed with the attending on service.

- Rotation contact information: Room 060. Administrative Assistant is Janet Tripptee. 444-7884.
- Morning Report (8:00-8:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). Do not attend morning report if patients are scheduled at 8:00 AM in clinic on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday mornings. If there are not patients scheduled, then you may go to morning report.
- Consults: Consults will be completed and presented to the on-call Attending. Residents are expected to go to clinic each morning and clinical work will be delegated based on the current day’s balance of outpatient/inpatient needs and optimization of resident education.
- Most clinics are at 37 Research Way, East Setauket. Monday morning clinics are at 500 Commack Road, Commack and on the first Friday afternoon of the month. Wednesday morning clinics are at 4 Technology Drive, East Setauket (Hypertension Center). Residents do not go to the Hypertension Center because of Resident Lectures; medical students are expected to attend.
