Meet Our Residents
|
Hey everyone, my name is Tom! I grew up right down the street in Mount Sinai, New York. I graduated from University of Rhode Island, College of Pharmacy in May of 2024. This year I can't wait to work alongside medical students, residents, and fellows absorbing all of the knowledge they have to offer. It's incredibly comforting to be in a learning environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, while feeling the support of all my preceptors and coresidents! I also cannot wait to make an impact on the patients' lives from my very own community I grew up in! As a resident, I am interested in furthering my education in infectious disease and oncology! I enjoy going to the gym, playing basketball, spending time at the beach, and participating in aquatic sports/activities such as surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and anything else you can think of involving the water! I love trying new things, spending time with my friends, and binging comedy specials on Netflix. One fun fact about me is I have two clown fish named miso and wonton! |

My name is Jasmeen Kaur. I am from Floral Park, NY. I have lived in Queens most of my life and for a short time moved to Binghamton, NY to attend Binghamton University School of Pharmacy. I am ecstatic to join the robust pharmacy department here at SBUH and experience all that Stony Brook has to offer. I look forward to working with knowledgeable preceptors and collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams to enhance patient-centered care. My main interests lie in Medication Safety, Infectious Diseases & Cardiology but I am open to my interests developing further throughout residency. For fun, I love to read horror and fantasy novels. I also love to travel and had the opportunity to visit 6 different countries last summer! |

Hey everyone, my name is Anisha Varghese! I am originally from Kerala, India but I moved to the United States at the age of 7. I grew up in Queens, New York for the rest of my childhood. I graduated from St. John’s University, College of Pharmacy in May 2024.I am so excited to explore all the opportunities that Stony Brook University Hospital has to offer. I look forward to learning and collaborating with all the wonderful preceptors. My clinical interests include ambulatory care and cardiology. I believe that my training at Stony Brook will prepare me to practice as a board-certified pharmacist and become a well-rounded clinician. Outside of pharmacy, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, discovering new music, and exploring new restaurants. |
Zach Walker, PharmD |
Hi everyone! My name is Zach Walker and I graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy in 2024. I am originally from Long Island in a small town on the south shore called Bayport. I am super excited to be at Stony Brook University Hospital and expand my clinical knowledge while promoting the health and wellbeing of the families that choose SBUH, just like mine. Currently, my clinical interest surrounds ambulatory care and cardiology but the field of pharmacy is continuously growing and I look forward to expanding the scope of practice of pharmacists by entering spaces like primary care offices and heart failure clinics. Outside of work I enjoy playing basketball, golf, pickle ball, and pretty much any other sport. I am currently playing in a competitive beach volleyball league at Cedar Beach which has been a ton of fun. I also love going to the beach and hanging out with my family. A fun fact about myself would be that I can juggle pretty well and I actually incorporated juggling into my best man speech for my brother’s wedding. I look forward to continuing my professional development at Stony Brook University Hospital! |
