I am a rising third year PhD Student in the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology Program at Stony Brook University. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biology and minors in chemistry and economics at Marist College in 2019, where I was also a part of the Swimming and Diving Team. My Senior year at Marist I was named Captain of the Swim Team and conducted research in the Environmental Science Department. My work at Stony Brook focuses on the interplay between the CNS' innate immune system and oligodendroglial lineage cells in the context of Major Depressive Disorder.
Short project description:
In our mouse model of depression, I will analyze the antidepressant effects and mechanisms of action of a combinatory treatment with NSAID and SSRI.
