I am a rising third year PhD Student in the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology program. I received my bachelor's degree in 2020 here at Stony Brook University, where I conducted research in the Department of Anesthesiology. My work involved characterizing a recently-discovered endocannabinoid-metabolizing enzyme. Now, I work in Stella Tsirka’s lab to explore the mechanistic link between Major Depressive Disorder and Cardiovascular disease. My SBMS project involves assessing the effects on premorbid depression and SSRI use on stroke severity in a combined mouse model of depression and stroke.
