Alicia Persaud

Iam a 3rd year PhD student in the Biomedical Engineering Department. I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degree in BME here at Stony Brook University. My current work focuses on elucidating the effects of physiological and social stress on cardiovascular health and perfusion. As part of the SBMS program, I will be developing a predictive model for stress-induced cardiometabolic risk factors utilizing data I collected for a human study. The main goal is to understand the relationship between an individual's perceived stress and actual cardiovascular risk.
