My name is Robert Bronstein and I am a student in the neuroscience graduate program at Stony Brook University, currently pursuing my doctoral thesis work in the laboratory of Dr. Stella Tsirka in the department of pharmacological sciences. I hail originally from Russia, coming to the US when I was nine years old and settling in NYC with my family. I have been fascinated by science and medicine for quite a long time, and am excited to try blending the two fields within my PhD training. My current thesis work is focused on neurogenesis in the adult brain and the involvement of certain chromatin factors during under physiological conditions and during ischemic brain injury.
