I obtained my BS in Biology from Emmanuel College in 2018, where my undergraduate research was focused on studying key regulatory components of the cell cycle in budding yeast. In the Fall of 2018, I embarked on my graduate school journey in the Molecular and Cellular Biology PhD program at Stony Brook University. My research is focused on studying the fundamental principles that govern initial protein-ligand interactions by employing Src kinase and clinically relevant kinase inhibitors. I am excited to start my translational research project through the SBMS program, which is aimed toward evaluating mutation frequency of upstream regulators of Src family kinases (SFKs) to understand how SFKs are implicated in pediatric and adult hematological malignancies.
