Ruby Pan

I am currently a third-year PhD student in the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology program. I work in the lab of Dr. Ken-Ichi Takemaru, where I am studying the role of CCDC186 in neurons and how loss-of-function mutations can contribute to neurodevelopmental epilepsy. Through the SBMS program and with the guidance of my clinical mentor Dr. Shennan Weiss, in the department of Neurology, I hope to relate my preclinical findings to the patient population as well as contribute to the field of epilepsy as a whole.
