I am starting my fourth year as a PhD student. Having finished my program's coursework and passed my qualifying exam, I am moving on to finalizing my dissertation project and proposal. My work involves tissue engineering and regenerative medicine through analysis of bioactive signal transduction. In the past two years of working in Dr. Clark's lab, I have been working with a small, bioactive peptide he and his colleagues discovered, p12. While it goes through clinical trials for treating burn wounds, we are looking for new insights into the mechanism of action and potential applications of p12. I received my bachelors degree from Stony Brook University in biomedical engineering as well, with a concentration in cellular and molecular biology. My primary hobbies are playing video games and tabletop roleplaying games, such as Dungeons and Dragons.
