I’m a third-year PhD candidate in Molecular and Cellular Biology program working in Dr. Brian Sheridan’s lab. My current work focuses on the mechanism of retinoic acid licensing the development of tissue resident memory CD8 T cells in the gut following Listeria Monocytogenes infection. My clinical co-mentor is Dr. Thomas Diacovo, under his guidance, I will investigate the intestinal immune profile within the development of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) of neonate. We aim to identify the specific immune cells which predominantly contribute to NEC development and explore the potential therapeutic targets.
