Exit Survey
The Faculty Affairs Office at the School of Medicine is committed to continually improving the experiences and environments for our faculty members. As part of this commitment, we conduct an Exit Survey to gather valuable feedback from departing faculty members. This survey is a critical tool that helps us understand the reasons behind faculty departures, identify areas for improvement, and enhance our practices and policies.
Toll Professor
The John S. Toll Professorship provides an opportunity for full and part time tenured faculty and librarians to hold a special post retirement assignment. Toll Professorships allow the University to retain the important experience and contributions of valued colleagues while also enabling Toll Professors to adjust the level of their responsibilities through a post retirement program.
Emeritus status
Emeriti faculty are retired Stony Brook University faculty/librarians who have been invited by the Provost to append the term “Emeritus/Emerita” to their title of academic rank following their retirement. Emeriti faculty may retain library, parking, and institutional email.
