At Stony Brook, it is important that students have access to resources that empower them to practice self-care. When healthcare professionals prioritize wellness, that translates into effective patient centered care. There are various wellness programs available for students to promote compassion, wellbeing, and resiliency.
Medical Student Health, Happiness, and Humanism (MeSH) is one such program. It is a comprehensive organization that hosts activities such as picnics and class discussions. They continually reach out to current students regarding upcoming self-care events through e-mailed newsletters.
