A symposium in honor of the 75th birthday of Dr. Eckard Wimmer, Distinguished Professor of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology

The fascinating world of viruses will be discussed in relation to proliferation, pathogenesis and prevention of disease.

A block of rooms have been reserved at the East Wind Inn & Spa at a discounted rate of $119/$139 on a first come first serve basis.  Shared rooms are welcomed.  Please mention “Viruses Forever” when making your reservation.  Transportation to and from the conference will be provided.

Reception and Banquet:
A welcoming reception will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 26th at the home of Astrid and Eckard Wimmer in Old Field, New York (631-751-2189).  Additionally, there will be a Banquet Dinner on Friday, May 27th from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at the Old Field Club in Setauket, New York.  For those that stay on, please join the Wimmers for a Saturday morning brunch at their house from 9:00am to 12:00pm
