Recipient of the Best Poster Award, Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology 2008 Retreat and the 2009 Abrahams Awards for Outstanding Achievement by a Graduate Student. 

Nicholas was also selected to present his research in the 2009-2010 Provost’s Graduate Student Lecture Series and he has given oral presentations at numerous national and international scientific conferences.
