The International Association for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic
Encephalomyelitis (IACFS/ME), has posted a new primer for clinical
practitioners on the Association’s website.
Research
Associate Professor of Psychiatry Fred Friedberg, PhD, the
Association’s President, chaired of the 11-member primer committee —
which recently concluded a 2 year effort to complete the 41 page primer.
The
primer targets primary care physicians and other health practitioners
interested in CFS/ME. It provides the information necessary for
clinicians to understand, diagnose, and manage the symptoms of CFS/ME.
