The Chief Contracts Officer works with the 5 Health Sciences Schools (Schools of Medicine, Dental, Social Welfare, Nursing and Health Technology and Management) to review and negotiate all student affiliation agreements. Services provided include:
- Administration of the Health Sciences Schools affiliation agreements process. Initiate, review and negotiate agreements, identifying areas of concern, risks and conflicts. Obtain insurance and maintain a record of executed agreements.
- Serving as the liaison with the Office of General Counsel for the Health Sciences Schools and Renaissance School of Medicine. Develop templates where appropriate to standardize agreements across the medical education enterprise. Support and assist departmental residency coordinators/program directors in initiation, execution and administration of Graduate Medical Education program and institutional agreements.
- Review, revise and negotiate Data Use agreements for the Health Sciences Schools, Biomedical Informatics department, and the Graduate Program in Public Health. Identify issues of concern regarding data protection and privacy, risk and conflicts.
- Perform related projects and other duties as assigned by the Associate VP/Vice Dean for Finance and Administration in consultation with Vice Dean for Graduate Medical Education and the Associate Dean, Research Facilities & Scientific Operations.
