Fellowship applications and documentation are accepted through ERAS only. Documentation other than ERAS will not be accepted. The Stony Brook fellowship program in Endocrinology participates in the NRMP match.
*All fellowship interviews this year will be conducted virtually both for internal and external candidates.
Qualifications for admission to the Stony Brook Endocrinology fellowship program include the successful completion of a US three year program in internal medicine, and US citizenship or a valid visa, except H visas, which are not supported by the fellowship program. Graduates of foreign medical schools must provide proof of having passed the FMGEMS exam, a copy of the FMGEM scores and a copy of the Standard ECFMG Certificate. All accepted candidates must obtain a New York medical license.
Documentation required to be on ERAS before candidates will be considered to interview are: Application, Personal Statement, USMLE or COMLEX Scores, ECFMG, Transcript, 3 Letters of recommendation, and a letter from the internal medicine residency program director.
ERAS opens to programs on July 15 and all required documentation should be submitted to ERAS by then. Only complete applications will be reviewed by the Committee. Candidates selected to interview will be contacted via email. Interviews are held in August and September.
The Stony Brook Endocrinology fellowship program is a two year program and offers two fellowship positions each year.
