Why Med-Peds?:
"I did an away rotation as a 4th year medical student, where I was exposed to Med-Peds residents for the first time. These people impressed me with their breadth of knowledge, clinical experience, and the way that they exuded confidence and joy in caring for their patients. I aspired to be like them. As I learned more about the Med-Peds curriculum and myriad of prospective career paths, I knew that this field was perfect for me.
In a nutshell: I want to acquire a skillset to treat patients of all ages with the privilege to pick and choose what to focus on while building my career."
What do you plan on doing when finished residency (if known)?
"I plan to keep an open mind regarding where life takes me after residency. I am thinking of specializing; but also would be interested in a MP hospitalist position. Regardless of where my career takes me, I would like to incorporate academic medicine and help train the next generation of physicians."
Outside interests:
"Exploring nature and being outside, yoga and meditation, exercise, socializing, and some good cinema (from home)."
