Why Med-Peds?:
Before medical school began, I knew I wanted to work with both children and adults and so, naturally, I always thought I would enter a residency in family medicine. However, it's outpatient nature and training in OBGYN did not resonate as much with me. It wasn't until I was scrolling through match lists from my medical school that I stumbled upon Med-peds. It was the perfect fit for me because it allowed me to receive extensive training in the treatment of children and adults. Furthermore, I could treat a full spectrum of diseases for both populations, inpatient and outpatient, alike.
Why Stony Brook?: Not only does Stony Brook have an incredible reputation worldwide, but it also has some of the kindest people working within its walls. On my interview day, I felt incredibly welcomed and was treated as a colleague rather than an applicant. Not to mention, JT and Rob are some of the best program directors I have been fortunate enough to meet.
What do you plan on doing when finished residency (if known)?
Hospitalist & Primary Care
Outside interests:
Guitar, Animals, Basketball, Weightlifting.
