Why
Med-Peds?: The best of both worlds!
The complexity of Medicine with the lightheartedness of Pediatrics. I believe
it's valuable to understand how diseases that begin in childhood can affect
adults, and to care for patients throughout their lives.
Why Stony
Brook?: The atmosphere and the vibe
of the residents as well as the faculty. The Med-Peds group is very welcoming.
I couple matched here with Emily (also in Med-Peds), and I appreciate that the
faculty are supportive, such a coordinating our vacations. Also the location -
quiet, suburban area but only an hour away from NYC.
What do
you plan on doing when finished residency (if known)?: Unsure. I would like to practice both Medicine
and Pediatrics, either working as a Med-Peds hospitalist or pursuing a combined
fellowship. I like mostly inpatient with a little touch of outpatient.
Outside
interests: Playing videos games,
learning photography, watching movies, and hanging out with friends!
