Research Interests:
In general, I am interested in studying the molecular mechanisms involved in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. During my undergraduate years, I studied the Neuregulin-ErbB4 signaling pathway in the context of neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases. At the NIH, I studied the role of small non-coding RNAs in regulating gene expression in diseases such as cancer. I would like to combine these interests by developing and using computational tools to study gene expression regulation in development and diseases within the nervous system.
