Research Interests:
My previous clinical research evaluated neurological outcomes of different radiological treatments for vestibular schwannoma patients. Later at NCI, I characterized how the microbiome evolves in homeostatic development and in cancer models treated with immune checkpoint blockade. Additionally, I also studied cell populations critical for mucosal antibody production in the gut over weaning.
I am captivated by the plasticity of our immune system to fight in pathological states while maintaining peace in homeostasis. Through my graduate study, I strive to understand what interferes with our immunity to achieve its greatest potential when facing tumors and inflammation in the gut. From there, I aim at promoting immune readiness with preventative strategies and targeted therapies for cancer patients.
