Research Interest:

I would like to develop expertise in the field of immune therapeutics and gain a better
understanding of how we can guide the immune system toward desired responses. At the NIH, I
studied B-cells in the context of HIV-1 infection, aiming to apply that knowledge toward HIV
vaccines development. Building on this background, I would like to delve deeper into the
molecular mechanisms that drive B cell development and trafficking, as well as the cooperative
mechanisms of B and T cells in mounting an immune response. I would eventually like to bridge
my interest in immune mechanisms with my interests in maternal-fetal medicine and/or early
immune system development.
