I am pleased to announce that Dr. Jun Chung has joined the Department of Pathology as Associate Professor effective May 1st. Dr. Chung moved to Stony Brook from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center-Department of Physiology and Stephenson Cancer Center. Dr. Chung completed his PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, and his postdoctoral research training in the Department of Pathology at Harvard Medical School, Boston. He has held faculty appointments at the University of Oklahoma and Louisiana State University.
Dr. Chung’s research focuses on mechanisms of tumor invasion and metastasis. He has authored numerous publications and has presented at national and international meetings as well as several invited lectures. Dr. Chung’s research laboratory is located on Pathology Level 9 of the Basic Sciences Tower.
