Dr. Jason Cohen has joined the Department of Pathology as a part time Assistant Professor, effective September 16, 2010. This recruitment was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Pathology and the Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Cohen is a graduate of the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. He completed his residency in Anatomic Pathology at Columbia University Medical Center in 2005, a Surgical Pathology fellowship (also at Columbia) in 2006, and a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Montefiore Medical Center in 2007. Dr. Cohen has held adjunct faculty appointments at NY Presbyterian Hospital, Montefiore Medical Center, in the Department of Dermatology at Stony Brook University Medical Center and has been a community-based Dermatopathologist at DermPath Diagnostics in Port Chester, NY since 2007.
Dr. Cohen will provide surgical pathology diagnostic expertise in Dermatopathology and will also have important roles in training pathology and dermatology residents.
