Selective Pathology

Selective Pathology
Two one-year fellowship positions in an ACGME-accredited program will provide an intensive experience in general surgical pathology and subspecialties including breast, GYN, GI, pulmonary, renal, neuropathology and placental pathology. The fellows will become familiar with the innovative use of technology to improve work flow and the significance of quality assurance and improvement within surgical pathology. The service includes approximately 22,000 cases per year, encompassing a wide variety of organ systems and subspecialties. Fellows are involved in the performance and interpretation of frozen sections, supervision of the gross room, sign out of cases and participation in translational research. They will have the opportunity to teach residents and medical students, and to conduct presentations at conferences as well.
