February 2010: I am proud to announce the recruitment of Dr. Yupo Ma as the latest recruitment to the faculty of the Department of Pathology. Dr. Ma is board certified in Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology, is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Biological Chemistry and is an invited NIH study section reviewer. Before moving to Stony Brook, Dr. Ma was a Professor in the Department of Pathology, Chief of Hematopathology and the Director of the Nevada Cancer Institute Stem Cell Program. Dr. Ma leads a basic science and translational research program that is well funded by both the NIH and by numerous other sources. His recruitment to Stony Brook greatly enhances our rapidly expanding capabilities in human stem cell and hematopathology research.
