The Stony Brook University Master of Science in Professional Nutrition Practice (PNP) provides two options for its students:

  • Onsite - Full-time or Part-time

  • Distance - Full-time or Part-time

 

Program Highlights

  • Housed in a large Nutrition Division integrated within the School of Medicine and Stony Brook University Hospital
  • Bi-month video conferencing calls with the Clinical Coordinator to assist you in staying on track and managing your program plan
  • Flexibility- both full and part-time options available
  • Online classes and onsite or distance clinical training sites
  • Students are able to select from three different program concentrations- Advanced Nutrition Therapy & Critical Care, Integrative Nutrition, or Generalist track
  • Complete the program in as little as 16 months
  • Integrative nutrition therapy perspective
  • Farm-hospital food service integration
  • Counseling skills development and evaluation using virtual Objective Structured Clinical Exams
  • Involved in robust CQI projects and clinical research projects
  • Access to SBU library systems, e-journals, e-databases (such as Natural Standards)
