We are happy to announce that Dr. Jared Woods will be joining us as a Surgical Pathologist and the Director of Digital Pathology at Stony Brook University Hospital, starting January 2nd.
Dr. Woods earned his MD/PhD at the University of Connecticut, followed by a residency in Anatomic Pathology and a Fellowship in Neuropathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He has specialized expertise in digital pathology, molecular pathology, neuropathology, and other areas of surgical pathology. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Woods is passionate about teaching and has an impressive record of scholarly contributions to his field. As a faculty member, he will play a key role in advancing our digital pathology program and contribute to our ongoing research and educational efforts.
