I am very happy to announce that Dr. Brendan Boyce, MD, ChB has joined the Department of Pathology as Professor and Chief of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology.
Dr. Boyce completed his MD, ChB at University of Glasgow Medical School, Scotland, was a resident in General Medicine at the Western Infirmary and was a resident in General Surgery and Pathology at the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow. Prior to joining Stony Brook, Dr. Boyce served as Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He is nationally recognized as a physician/scientist and educator. His research, related to bone pathophysiology has been reported in over 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts and is currently funded by multiple awards from the NIH. In addition to his roles in research and clinical service, Dr. Boyce will provide training in bone and soft tissue pathology and experimental pathology to clinical residents in the Departments of Orthopedics and Pathology.
