Our International division, championed by Dr. Rolando Valenzuela, has participated in multiple teaching opportunities around the world. The division has presented and provided hands-on instructions in various POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) applications to healthcare providers in Fiji, Colombia and Costa Rica. The US and International divisions annually return to the Caribbean Island country of St. Lucia to teach POCUS to healthcare providers. In places where resources are limited, we believe we have a responsibility to help assist others and provide guidance and teaching for sustainability.
The work is both rewarding and has led to lifelong friendships. It is our mission and hope to continue this work and expand to other Windward Island countries as well.
