The School of Medicine Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs provides partial support for women physicians and scientists to attend AAMC seminars designed to develop leaders in academic medicine. The Early Career Women Faculty Leadership Development Seminar is for women physicians and scientists holding medical school appointments at the instructor or assistant professor level, and in the early stages of leadership positions within their discipline, department or institution. The call for applicants usually begins around February. The Mid-Career Women Faculty Development Leadership Seminar focuses on women physicians and scientists holding medical school appointments at the associate professor level and holding leadership positions within their discipline, department or institution. The call for applicants usually begins in July.
