Polycystic Kidney Disease is a multisystem hereditary condition affecting many patients and their families. At Stony Brook Medicine, we provide robust and comprehensive care for our patients and their affected families. The Attending Physicians of the Division run a group practice in the vicinity of the hospital. Primary and consultative services are provided for the following complaints and conditions:
• Blood in the urine (hematuria)
• Protein in the urine (proteinuria)
• Chronic kidney disease of any cause
• Glomerulonephritis
• Diabetic kidney disease
• Polycystic kidney disease
• Electrolyte disorders (potassium, sodium, calcium)
• Kidney stones (nephrolithiasis)
• High blood pressure (hypertension)
• Kidney disease in pregnancy
