The Emergency Department Academic Associate Program is a Stony Brook undergraduate externship for juniors and seniors that allows students to obtain clinical research experience while earning academic credit.
Academic Associates are trained to recruit, enroll and consent subjects in the Emergency Department for participation in clinical trials. They are available to recruit subjects for studies designed by our department's attendings, fellows and residents.
