Note that clinical data collection can be outsourced to the Academic Associate program. This is a Stony Brook undergraduate externship for juniors and seniors that allows students to obtain clinical research experience while earning academic credit. The Academic Associates are trained to recruit, enroll and consent subjects in the Emergency Department for participation in clinical trials. You can speak with Dr. McMahon for more information.
