Dr. Wackett joined the faculty at Stony Brook in 2001 and became the Associate Residency Program Director later that year. In 2003, he was appointed Director of Undergraduate Medical Education. Then, in 2010 he joined the Dean's Office as the Assistant Dean of Medical Education. He now serves as the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, the Director of the Clinical Simulation Center and he runs the Introduction to Clinical Medicine and Transition to Residency courses. Dr. Wackett's interests include medical education. He teaches residents and medical students of all levels in the classroom, the Emergency Department in in the Clinical Simulation Center. Finally, Dr. Wackett is actively pursuing research in medical education, especially in regard to procedural proficiency and simulation medicine. | |||||
