The aim of the Stony Brook Medicine Journal of Scholarship, Innovation and Quality Improvement – Orthopaedics is to provide an open access platform for medical students, residents, and fellows to publish articles that further our understanding of musculoskeletal disorders, injuries, and diseases, with the goal of improving the quality of care for orthopaedic patients. Accordingly, the scope of this journal is broad and encompasses articles from basic science to preclinical and clinical studies pertaining to all aspects of the musculoskeletal system. The journal publishes original research, database studies, reviews, and case reports.
