Dr. Young has been a board certified Podiatric Surgeon for 25 years, with extensive experience in treating foot conditions and surgical correction and reconstruction. As a graduate of Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine, she then went on to complete her foot and ankle surgical training at Graduate Hospital, an affiliate of University of Pennsylvania, where she was chosen to be the Chief Resident in her third year.  She then entered private practice in Great Neck, NY for 23 years.

She left private practice in 2018 to become the Program Director for Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program with the added credential of Rearfoot/Ankle Reconstructive Surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital.  She values training the future podiatric doctors and elevating their skills in the clinical and operative setting.  She has been appointed the unique dual faculty position in the Stony Brook School of Medicine at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.
