Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery Residency Conference Schedule

Residents are provided with a variety of regularly scheduled learning activities throughout the year. Weekly didactic conferences are held on Wednesday mornings, and this is protected time from clinical duties. During this time, lectures are provided by faculty, guest speakers (from other departments and other institutions) and residents. Residents are asked to prepare 2-3 grand rounds lectures each year. The didactic curriculum is divided into subspecialty-based blocks, which repeat yearly. Aside from the educational activities listed below, residents also participate in mock oral boards with faculty twice yearly.

In addition to scheduled learning activities, residents are given subscriptions to the following tools:

  • Board Vitals for Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery
  • FLEX (Focused Lifelong Education Xperience) Program of AAO-HNS
