Dr. Wang completed his Ph.D. at Case Western Reserve University with Robert C. Elston, and carried out his postdoctoral training at Harvard University. His research interest is in the area of statistical genetics/genomics, with an emphasis on statistical methodology for large scale genomic data, including genome-wide association data and sequence data. He has recently developed an interest in machine learning techniques and their applications in solving problems in high dimensional biomedical data. He was also involved in several collaborative research projects in cardiovascular diseases, colon cancer, and Autism. Dr. Wang has received many awards for his research including Merck Quantitative Sciences Fellowship and several NIH awards.
