About Us

Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University is a public medical school in Stony Brook, New York. It is part of Stony Brook University, a flagship of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and one of 62 members of the Association of American Universities (AAU), the invitation-only organization of the best research universities in North America.

Renaissance School of Medicine is part of Stony Brook Medicine, the University’s medical enterprise, which encompasses Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and the Long Island State Veterans Home, plus more than 100 outpatient care sites throughout Suffolk County. It is one of five schools of the Health Sciences at Stony Brook University, which also include Dental Medicine, Health Technology and Management, Nursing and Social Welfare.
