Justin Buro is originally from Long Island, NY and joined our program after completing his undergraduate and medical education through the prestigious Seven-Year BS/MD Program at The George Washington University. During this time, he spent a year at Weil Cornell Medical College at the Laboratory of Bioregenerative Medicine and Surgery, focusing on tissue engineering and regenerative techniques in plastic surgery. Justin was drawn to the field of plastic surgery for its blend of technical precision, artistry and the ability to make a profound impact on patients' lives. His primary interests lie in facial aesthetics and cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, with plans to pursue a career in private aesthetic practice following graduation. Chris Liao, originally from Southern California, is a plastic surgery resident with a strong interest in aesthetic surgery of the face, neck and body. His passion for enhancing his patients' appearance and confidence drives his commitment to the field. Zach Erlichman is a dedicated researcher and health equity advocate, originating during his time at Tufts University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has conducted research in topics ranging from retinal stem cell development to breast cancer reconstruction and gender-affirming care. Christina Chopra came to our program with a unique background in biological anthropology, having studied at NYU before honing her expertise in craniofacial morphology of early hominins at Stony Brook University. This foundational knowledge fueled her passion for understanding human form and function, leading her to pursue a career in plastic surgery. Christina's interests have evolved into a focus on post-massive weight loss body-contouring surgery and the holistic practice of plastic surgery, with a career aim to ensure her patients achieve aesthetic and functional harmony. Learn more about Dr. Chopra

Nia completed his undergraduate and medical studies at the University of Arizona with a focus in neuroscience, sparking his fascination with the intricacies of the nervous system and reconstructive techniques. Before attending medical school, he worked closely with a plastic surgeon in the underserved community of San Carlos, Arizona, where he witnessed the transformative impact of plastic surgery firsthand. This experience deepened his passion for providing care to underserved populations. Now, as a resident, Nia is particularly interested in hand surgery, microsurgery and aesthetic procedures. Yasmina Samaha began her journey at UCLA, gaining early experience in breast cancer research. She later attended medical school at Florida Atlantic University and completed a research fellowship at Cedars-Sinai, where she focused on breast reconstruction and lymphedema. Her work deepened her expertise in patient-centered care, showing her how tailored reconstruction can meet individual needs. Yasmina's career interests include breast and lympathic reconstruction, although she is excited to explore all fields in plastic surgery.
