Today’s Medicine Grand Rounds, “Colorectal Cancer Screening: An Update” was presented by Stony Brook Gastroenterology Alumnus Dr. Joseph Anderson at the annual Robert Shaw Memorial Lecture.
This is a guest lecture presented annually by a leader in the GI field as a tribute to Dr. Shaw, who was faculty at Stony Brook and the Northport VA Medical Center for 30 years.
Dr. Anderson is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, the White River Junction VA Medical Center and Adjunct Associate Professor at University of Connecticut Health Center (UConn).
He presented to a packed auditorium a comprehensive discussion on colon cancer pathophysiology and the most up to date data on colon cancer screening, followed by a small group discussion with the GI faculty and fellows.
Many thanks to Dr. Anderson for his excellent presentations!
