New Nephrology Faculty

Please join us in welcoming our recent additions to the faculty in the Division of Nephrology:

Dr. Rula Abdulrahman Dr. Rula Abdulrahman joined the faculty in July 2019 as Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Abdulrahman is a graduate of University of Baghdad School of Medicine. She trained in Internal Medicine at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and Nephrology Fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, with focused training in Home Dialysis Therapies. Dr. Abdulrahman will be seeing patients in the Nephrology Inpatient Consultation Services and new patients at 26 Research Way, Stony Brook Kidney Center, with a focus on Home Dialysis Therapies.
 

Dr. Farrukh Koraishy Dr. Farrukh Koraishy joined the faculty in October 2019 as Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Koraishy is a graduate of Dow Medical College in Pakistan. He trained in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical Center followed by Nephrology Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. During his fellowship training, he also received a PhD in Investigative Medicine followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Yale University. Prior to joining Stony Brook, he served on the faculty at St. Louis University Medical Center and John Cochran VA Medical Center attaining the rank of Associate Professor of Medicine. He brings substantial experiences in medical education and translational research to Stony Brook. Dr. Koraishy will be seeing patients in the Nephrology Inpatient Consultation Services and new patients at 26 Research Way, Stony Brook Kidney Center.
