Dr. Alexandra Guillaume Will Be Featured Speaker at Hot Topics in Motility Event

"Hot Topics in Motility" is a conference jointly provided by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

The Department of Medicine is proud to announce that Alexandra Guillaume, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, and Director of the Gastrointestinal Motility Center at Stony Brook Medicine, will be a featured speaker at this important event on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020.

The program description of the seminar is as follows: "Patients with motility disorders challenge general and sub-specialist gastroenterologists alike with occasionally difficult and constantly evolving diagnostic and treatment strategies. This seminar will explore three relevant topics in motility: dysphagia, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, and chronic constipation, and will focus on updates relevant to current practitioners."

Dr. Guillaume's presentation, "Moving on Down: Managing Chronic Constipation," will help participants recognize, diagnose and manage common subtypes of constipation.

We congratulate Dr. Guillaume on this well-deserved honor of being a featured speaker at this excellent seminar.
